The name of our association is formed with the ideograms 弘武館 that read as "Kōbukan" in Japanese language. The meaning is :

• 弘 to enlarge, to disseminate

• 武 fight, combat

• 館 building, organization

 

Therefore it can be understood as the organization for the spread of combat methods.

Its principale purpose is to teach mainly Japanese martial arts, but also from other countries, healing arts and Japanese culture.
