David CONSTANT

David is the director of the association (館長, Kanchō in Japanese)
Beginning the study of martial arts from the age of 6, he got initiated as all children of his generation to the Kōdōkan Jūdō and the Shotokan Karate, then the Yoseikan Budō and many other during his teenage period.
It is in 1998 that he began the practice of Hapgido under the guidance of LEE Kwan-Young, then from 2001 under Jérôme DUSSOTTIER. There he became assistant instructor for many years. During his annual trips to Korea, he was introduced to other Muye such as the Hapgi Yusul, the Seonmudo and the Taekgyeon.
Living for 1 year in Japan in 2016, then expatriating there in 2018, he began the study of Kōkōdō Jūjutsu under IRIE Yasuhiro Sōke, receiving the titles of Shihan (師範) and the Japanese name Kanō Kōshun in 2020, then Kaiden Shihan (皆伝師範) in 2023, and finally Kōgyoku Shihan (皇極師範) in 2024. He returns to France that same year and, in Normandy, he established the Kōbukan, association with principal purpose to teach the Kōkōdō Jūjutsu.
Il is the author of books about Hapgido and Jūjutsu. Je also wrote many articles in the "Dragon spécial Aikido" and "Yashima" magazines since 2015.
His other area of interest are the languages and cultures of Japan and Korea, as well as the Asian health arts (Tōyō Igaku) like digipunture (Shiatsu) and the health exercises (Kikō).
